As early access for EA FC 25 rolls out and the official release date nears, EA Sports has shared details about the FC Pro esports ecosystem.
The competitive scene for EA FC 25 launches this October, with registration for the open circuit already open to the public.
A recent press release announced that FC Pro 25 will create more opportunities for emerging talent to qualify for the FC Pro World Championship through an expanded FC Pro Open program and new monthly FC Pro Open Cups.
The FC Pro Open will return, featuring aspiring players and veterans competing for a $1 million (~£750,000) prize pool. The season kicks off with the FC Pro Open Ladder from October 1-7. Players must reach Division 3 in the Rivals game mode and register online to participate.
Advancing players will move on to Regional and Global Qualifiers, with the top 17 earning spots in the FC Pro Open finals. They’ll join seven already-qualified players, including PHzin, Vejrgang, Levi de Weerd, Emre Yilmaz, xcharif, Yuval, and Jafonso, bringing the competition to 24 players—four more than last year.
The World Championship format remains similar, with 32 players competing for a $1 million prize pool. This year, however, the top eight from the FC Pro Open will secure automatic spots, alongside top qualifiers from FC Pro Leagues and Play-Ins.
Sam Turkbas, EA SPORTS Senior Director of Esports, shared, “FC Pro is back! Our second season will continue the thrilling journey of the best FC players competing for the World Championship, building on last season’s momentum. This year, we’re focused on creating expanded pathways to the FC Pro World Championship, enhancing the competition to showcase top talent in EA SPORTS FC and delivering unforgettable moments on the virtual pitch.”
