I love shoegaze/dream pop and everything related. It’s amazing how this song made it into FIFA with such a blend of genres. But it fits in very nicely. By the way, they released an album on the 1st; I should write something about it.
8. Foals – Mountain At My Gates (FIFA 16)
I don’t know if this song is better than Spanish Sahara (from LiS) or Runner (from FIFA 20), but it sounds so amazing! I can just imagine Leicester winning the title to this track last year. 🙂
7. Glass Animals – Heat Waves (FIFA 21)
Thanks to this song, the trio from Oxford gained immense popularity! The guys really know how to blend indie rock with R&B. All those soft synths with a hint of dreaminess fit perfectly into FIFA 21, where I first discovered this track!
6. ROSALÍA, Ozuna – Yo x Ti, Tu x Mi (FIFA 20)
This dynamic reggaeton track resonates with infectious energy and chemistry between the two artists. Rosalía’s passionate vocals intertwine beautifully with Ozuna’s smooth delivery, creating a blend of modern pop music and urban Latin sound. The track perfectly captures that vibe!

A one-hit wonder… what a shame! This track is really good. The song is so uplifting that not only Kwabs but the entire urban environment in the video can’t help but groove along. London had a great time! 🙂

You launch FIFA, see the stunning cover featuring Messi, hit the cross button… and then pop rock kicks in with an AMAZING CHORUS. What could be better! Take me back, brotha…
1. Porter Robinson & Madeon – Shelter (FIFA 17)
Words can’t express how much I love this track. Maybe it’s because FIFA added a ton of features in Ultimate Team and updated the engine back then… but that doesn’t really matter! And let’s not forget about Hunter… Still, the song has stuck in my head, bringing back so many memories from that time. I wouldn’t be far from the truth if I called this song the best in the history of FIFA’s internal soundtrack.
It just so happened that all the songs are from different installments of the game. Purely by coincidence! I could easily highlight another dozen songs, like Nothing But Thieves with “Trip Switch” or Two Door Cinema Club with “I Can Talk.” There’s still so much great music out there. Should I make a second part? 🙂
